About Us
Taipei Medical University has become the government’s think tank in areas related to health policy and healthcare. It has established a health and welfare decision-making platform, actively participating in health policy discussions, and collaborating to promote the well-being of the entire population.
In recent years, the domestic healthcare environment has faced significant challenges, such as strained national health insurance finances, a shortage of healthcare professionals, and uneven distribution of medical resources, all of which cast concerns on the physical and mental well-being of the population. Additionally, the arrival of an aging society has compelled our country to urgently establish a long-term and effective long-term care system to facilitate national social development.
In order to actively engage in research related to health policy and healthcare, Taipei Medical University has established the Health and Welfare Policy Research Center. The center aims to serve as a platform for exchanging various opinions, functioning as a government think tank, and assisting in the implementation of health policies.
