【Latest Event】Symposium on Medical Misinformation and Governance Challenges in the Digital Media Era
【Latest Event】![]()
This symposium centers on “Medical Misinformation and Governance Challenges in the Digital Media Era.” It focuses on how inaccurate or misleading medical and health education information is generated and disseminated within today’s digital media environment. Particular attention will be given to the governance challenges that arise in the contexts of population aging and long-term care.
The symposium will systematically examine the challenges of medical information governance from multiple perspectives, including institutional design, media responsibility, professional ethics, and rights protection and redress mechanisms. It will also explore ways to strengthen the credibility of medical information and improve the public’s ability—especially among older adults and caregivers—to identify and evaluate health information.
Through open and rational dialogue, the event aims to deepen public understanding of the issue of digital medical misinformation and to help build a broader consensus that can inform future policy adjustments, health communication in long-term care settings, and public risk management.
