Director Lee Po-Chang promoted the spirit of love and life’s moments, echoing the former Minister of National Defense Feng Shikuan’s remarks about organ donation symbolizing the spirit of great love. Minister Da Peng once said, “The spirit of soldiers is to defend the country and love the people, and organ donation symbolizes the manifestation of great love spirit. The country and society need more peaceful and kind-hearted deeds to influence the overall positive atmosphere.” Mr. Zhu, the organ donor mentioned in the news, fully embodies Minister Da Peng’s remarks.

Recently, some people have inquired about whether tattooing expresses the intention to donate organs, ensuring that organs can be donated after passing away. According to Article 6 of the Human Organ Transplantation Act, “A physician may remove organs from a corpse if one of the following conditions is met: 1. The deceased gave written or testamentary consent before death. 2. Written consent is given by the deceased’s nearest relatives.” However, when it comes time to donate, the signatory has already passed away, so family members still need to sign a consent form for organ donation on their behalf. Therefore, tattooing to express the intention and recording the voiceprint of organ donation are similar in meaning, but more rapid and direct. In Germany, a non-profit organization has designed a tattoo pattern called Optink, allowing willing donors to tattoo their wish to donate organs on their bodies. Whether it’s a tattoo or an organ donation voiceprint card, the goal is to fulfill the signatory’s wish through family recognition, hoping that in the near future, every signatory reaching the end of life can be supported by their family and ultimately donate organs to save lives, leaving the most meaningful gift on earth!
